About the Reparations Movement

The Reparations Movement is a grassroots effort to address the historical injustices inflicted upon marginalized communities, particularly Black Americans. It seeks to provide repair for the harm caused by systemic racism and discrimination. Economic Disparities:

  • Black Americans experience economic disparities, with a higher poverty rate compared to White Americans. As of 2020, the Black poverty rate was approximately 18.8%, while the White poverty rate was about 7.3%.
